As the Edo State governorship election approaches on Saturday, 21st September, I, Hon. Joseph Onuoha, National Coordinator of the PDP National Restoration Movement, make an urgent call to the Chairman of INEC, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, and the Inspector General of Police (IGP). It is crucial that INEC ensures that this election is conducted in a manner that is free, fair, peaceful, and credible, upholding the principles of democracy.
In addition, we call on the IGP to ensure that the lives and votes of the citizens are fully protected. The security of the electorate is of paramount importance in guaranteeing their participation without fear or intimidation.
