Farmer Attacks 12-Year-Old Fulani Herder In Niger State, Cuts Off His Hands

A 12-year-old Fulani herder, Muhammadu Muhammadu, was a victim of attack in Lapi, Niger State, as a farmer reportedly cut off his hands in the process.

The farmer was identified as Jafaru Yunusa, and he has been arrested by the Niger State Police Command.

The young Fulani herder was cut and abandoned to die but he was rescued.

The Police Public Relations Officer of the command, Wasi’u Abiodun, told newsmen on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, that the farmer was arrested in a forest and that investigation is underway.

Meanwhile, the grandfather of the victim, Alhaji Garba Buba, a member of Miyetti Allah, confirmed that he was with him at the hospital and that he was struggling to survive.

The boy’s father, Muhammadu Garba, said his son’s condition has caused him pain.

“I feel as if my heart has been plucked out.

“For them to remove his hands simply means he doesn’t enjoy life again”, he said.
