Wanted Cult Leader, 2Baba, Speaks From Hiding, Says Rivers State Won’t Have Peace If He Is Captured

The wanted cultist linked with the killing of a police DPO in Ahoada, Rivers State, Gift David Opara (2Baba), has spoken from his hiding place.

He dropped off a message for the Nigerian Police Force in the state.

He said even if he is captured, cultism in Ahoada will continue as there are other cultists like him.

2Baba said this on Tuesday, December 5, when he called into an interactive programme on 92.3 Nigeria Info PH.

Furthermore, 2Baba said there are other cult group leaders like him fighting for territorial control of the region.

On the murder of DPO Bako Angbashim, he said he was not involved and does not know who killed him.

“I’m not aware of the video and I didn’t know about it because I was not online.

“We only spoke that day concerning an upcoming local wrestling which I was sponsoring.

“He said he would like to attend and we also discussed about bringing peace to Ekpeyeland.

The cult leader said the late DPO might have been killed by rival cult groups but it was roped on him.

Speaking further, he said: “There are many cult groups in Ahoada but I’m surprised they keep calling my name.

“Most of the other cult leaders carry better guns than me but they keep mentioning my name all the time.

“Some of my boys travelled to one of the communities. They killed them and took all my guns.

“If I go to retrieve my guns, they will say I have killed people. That is why I have stayed on my own”.

What 2Baba Said In Conclusion

He said he took up arms because rival cult groups killed his brother and burnt his family house.

He also said politicians do contact them and other cult groups during elections.

On why he didn’t speak earlier, he said he was surprised that Governor Fubara did not do thorough investigation before declaring him wanted.
