Breaking: Mauricio Pochettino Opens Up On Reece James’ Return

Shortly after returning from the treatment room in November, Reece James suffered another hamstring injury in Chelsea’s clash against Everton. The defender has been out ever since, but he’s recently begun his recovery phase in individual training at Cobham. Reece James spent some time away in Qatar to aid his rehabilitation recently.

What Pochettino has said: “We don’t know. I cannot say the date of when it is possible. Our target is for him to be fit, feeling happy and well. Then we will see if there is a possibility of going to the Euros or not, or whether he is ready for the next season or he can play before we finish the season here.

“For me the most important thing for Reece is to build his confidence and is physical condition and to recover all the good things because now is not to set the target of ‘I’m going to play the last five games’ or the Euros.

“The target is for him to feel really strong. And start to play when he can deal again with the competition.”
