Day 6: Protesters Storm Wike’s House in Port Harcourt

The nationwide protest against bad governance and hunger has taken a new twist as angry protesters stormed the residence of the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike in Port Harcourt.

The protesters marched to Wike’s house on Tuesday, August 6, 2023 (Day 6 of the protest).

Recall that the protest is scheduled to end on August 10.

In a video that went viral, the protesters are seen singing, chanting and hoisting placards with numerous inscriptions.

Furthermore, most of the protesters were seen sitting on the paved road in front of Wike’s mansion, which was heavily guarded by uniformed police officers.

Remember that Nyesom Wike publicly rejected the protests and called for dialogue with the angry youths.
