Why Igbos Did Not Join the Protest Against Bad Governance – Simon Ekpa Reveals

The self-acclaimed Prime Minister of the Biafran Republic in Exile, Simon Ekpa, has revealed why Igbos refused to protest against bad governance in Nigeria.

He said they did not join the protest because they have rejected Nigeria, and are not part of it.

Speaking further, Simon Ekpa said Igbos refused to protest in order to show that they’ve accepted Biafra Government and are only loyal to it.

He said this via a post on his official X account (formerly Twitter) yesterday, August 7, 2024.

“49 million Biafrans have voted for the Biafra self referendum. Once again, Biafrans have spoken in one voice. What other evidence do you need to know that Biafrans have rejected Nigeria?

“While the regions that believe in Nigeria are protesting to end bad governance, Biafra has once again demonstrated that they are not part of Nigeria and cannot protest to end bad governance in Nigeria.

“While those who believe in one Nigeria are protesting, Biafrans have disassociated themselves, meaning that they have accepted the Biafra Government as the only legitimate government they are loyal to”, he wrote.
