Medical tests booked; Chelsea prepare for £70m double deals

Chelsea Football Club are on the verge of significant squad changes, with two high-profile transfers expected to be confirmed in the coming days, according to London World. These moves could involve a combined transfer fee of approximately £70 million.

As Enzo Maresca prepares for his first season in charge at Stamford Bridge, he’s actively working to reshape the team’s lineup. His pursuit of Leicester City’s Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, reportedly for £30 million, has already caught attentions as a major move. However, a potentially bigger transfer seems to be nearing completion.

Chelsea has been in the market for a new striker this summer, with names like Napoli’s Victor Osimhen and Newcastle United’s Callum Wilson being linked to the club. Yet, it appears that another target is closer to joining the Blues. Atletico Madrid’s promising forward, Sam Omorodion, is reportedly set to join Chelsea.

Chelsea Football Club on Sam Omorodion

The 20-year-old, who impressed during his loan spell at Alaves last season, is already poised for further success as Atletico Madrid prepares to face France in the upcoming Olympics final. On Thursday evening, transfer Expert Fabrizio Romano provided an update on the situation. Via social media, Romano hinted at the imminent completion of the deal, stating, “Samu Omorodion to Chelsea, here we go! Deal in place for £35m as fixed fee from Atlético Madrid. Seven year contract for Omorodion at Chelsea, already agreed as he’s set for medical tests.

Bayer Leverkusen and more clubs tried to enter race but Omorodion joins Chelsea football club. ”The deal with Atletico Madrid is expected to be finalized soon, with Manchester City’s Julian Alvarez likely to replace Omorodion in Spain. As Omorodion prepares to join Chelsea, Conor Gallagher’s exit from Stamford Bridge seems inevitable. The midfielder is poised to join Atletico Madrid after being informed that his role under Maresca would be limited.

Gallagher was reportedly offered a new contract at Chelsea Football Club but declined the offer. Romano also confirmed that Gallagher had arrived in Madrid early Thursday morning, with a medical scheduled for later that day. The transfer fee for the England international is expected to be around €42 million, or roughly £36 million.
