The quest of Dr. Kingsley Ogu, fondly called Leybrave, to be the next chairman of Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni Local Government Area (ONELGA) of Rivers State has hit a new milestone.
This is because major stakeholders in the Egi caucus, Ugochukwu Orikoha (President of the Egi Peoples Assembly, EPA), Comr. Pely Nnadi (chairman of the Egi Oil and Gas Elders Forum) and Hopeson Dike (Board Chairman, Obagi Oilfield Host Communities Development Trust), have endorsed and declared their support for him, saying that he will deliver.
The stakeholders endorsed him during a reception which held at Ogbogu on Saturday, August 10, 2024.
Speaking on behalf of the stakeholders, Hopeson Dike said Dr Kingsley Ogu is intellectually equipped to be ONELGA chairman.
He added that “Kingsley Ogu will deliver” and will not take the interest of ONELGA people for granted. He also vowed to support him until he wins.
Reacting to his speech, Dr Kingsley Ogu appreciated the stakeholders for endorsing him, saying that it a significant boost to his campaign.
He added that he will deliver the dividends of democracy to all the parts of ONELGA.
“By the grace of God, under our watch, we will ensure that the tenets and benefits of democracy reach not just the 87 communities in ONELGA, but every part of ONELGA”, he said.
