Remove your hand -Tony Okocha tells Court, claims judgment won’t withstand Scrutiny

Chief Tony Okocha has responded to the Court’s verdict on Rivers APC leadership. GNtv News had reported that Nyesom Wike’s ally Chief Tony Okocha and other members of the Caretaker Committee of the APC in Rivers State were sacked by the Court.

The court also restrained them from meddling in the affairs of the Rivers State APC Executives led by Emeka Beke until their tenure expires. The presiding justice, Sika Aprioku, ruled that the appointment of Okocha and other committee members was in contravention of the APC party’s constitution.Additionally, the judge awarded a N300,000 fine against Tony Okocha and other defendants in the case.

Reacting to the Court’s decision, Okocha vowed that he will challenge the Court’s ruling. He urged the Court not to interfere with intra-party affairs.

Tony Okocha: “My party will challenge this judgement that will not even stand a test of time. Even a child can overturn it. This is an intra-party affair, Court remove your hand. What has the Court done? They have dealt with an intra-party matter to choose for the party who their Chairman is. So I don’t have anything to worry about.”
