Hunger Protesters Stole Ganduje’s Corruption Case Documents – Kano Governor

The executive governor of Kano State, Abba Yusuf, has said that the documents containing the corruption case of his predecessor, Umar Ganduje were stolen by the hunger protesters.

This was contained in a statement released by governor Abba Yusuf’s spokesperson, Sanusi Bature.

GNtv recalls that former governor Ganduje is facing numerous corruption charges at the Kano State High Court of justice.

The court had been inspected by the governor after it was looted and vandalized during the recently concluded nationwide protest against bad governance and hunger.

“It is very unfortunate that enemies of Kano State hired undesirable elements to vandalize one of the historic public buildings with a mission to subvert the corruption charges against the acting National Chairman of the APC and former governor of the state, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, his family and aides”, Yusuf said.

Additionally, the governor urged Kano youths to resist being used for violence.

He also ordered immediate rehabilitation of the court building and increased security.
