August Protest: People Can Protest While We Continue “Eating” – God’swill Akpabio

Senate President God’swill Akpabio has said that disgruntled Nigerians can go ahead with the planned nationwide protest on August 1.

According to him, he and other Nigerians continue eating the dividends of Tinubu’s government while the protest is ongoing.

He made the statement while speaking to the NDDC Executive Management Engagement and other stakeholders in Port Harcourt.

“We are not interested in regime change. Let us own this government.

“Those who want to protest can go ahead. But let us be there eating,” he said.

Additionally, he appealed to Nigerians to give Tinubu’s administration more time so its policies could yield results.

“As the Senate president, I want to appeal to all Nigerian youths to give this administration an opportunity for most of the policies to mature.

“So the whispers of our nation are already receiving attention.

“The economic challenges are known to the president because all of us feel the impact of what is happening now”, he added.
