Breaking: Chelsea James Withdraws From England Squad. Here Is Why

The latest Chelsea news emanating from the women team has it that Lauren James has withdrawn from the England squad.

Head coach Sarina Wiegman confirmed this at her pre-match press conference.

The Lionesses coach stated that she had been withdrawn due to concussion, as reported in a publication by the Chelsea women’s team on Facebook today.

This means that Lauren James will not play in England’s UEFA Woman’s Nation League double header against Belgium.

Sarina Wiegman: “Lauren James is not ready, she won’t be ready for Tuesday also.

“‘It’s nothing to worry about. She picked up a concussion and as you know we have to be very careful with the protocols, as we always do, and it’s just too short for the two upcoming games”.
