Court Sacks Wike’s Ally as APC Caretaker Committee Chairman in Rivers State

News update trickling down the media reveals that Wike ally Chief Tony Okocha and other members of the Caretaker Committee of the APC in Rivers State have been sacked.

They were sacked by a State High Court in Port Harcourt on Monday, August 12, 2024.

The court restrained them from parading themselves as committee members.

The court also restrained them from meddling in the affairs of the Rivers State APC Executives led by Emeka Beke until their tenure expires.

The presiding justice, Sika Aprioku, ruled that the appointment of Tony Okocha and other committee members was in contravention of the APC party’s constitution.

Additionally, the judge awarded a N300,000 fine against Tony Okocha and other defendants in the case.

Recall that Wike ally, Tony Okocha and others were appointed by the National Working Committee.
