In a done deal, Chelsea has signed Danish goalkeeper Filip Jørgensen from Villarreal for a reported fee of €24.5 million.
This agreement includes a long-term contract for the talented shot-stopper. This was confirmed by Fabrizio Romano via his official Facebook handle.
Jørgensen, 26, is set to undergo a medical examination and formally sign the contract next week in London.
The Danish international will provide strong competition for current goalkeeper Robert Sánchez, aiming to solidify his place in Chelsea’s starting lineup. This done deal signals Chelsea’s intent to strengthen their defensive capabilities as they prepare for the new season.
