A Nigerian man has explained how he found himself under the bridge in Oshodi, Lagos, after staying in America for 21 years.
The man is a UK-trained Banking and Finance graduate. He shared his story during a radio interview with pressmen in Lagos on Monday, November 20, 2023.
The man narrated that while residing in America, he had dreams of himself flying. He said he saw signboards written “Welcome to Bahamas”, “Welcome to London”.
Furthermore, he saw another one written “Welcome to Africa”, and another one written “Welcome to Nigeria”.
Consequently, he was taken to a hospital in California as he woke up from the dream screaming “Nigeria”.
He was deported to Nigeria after his release from the hospital, and his siblings took him to a psychiatric hospital in Yaba, Lagos, and abandoned him there.
As a result, he was thrown out of the hospital as there was no one to take care of his needs and pay the bills.
He had no option but to start sleeping under Oshodi bridge. The man added that he had been taken to a mountain where he spent six years for deliverance.
