Former Governor of Rivers State and Minister of FCT, Nyesom Wike, has said he will defeat the incumbent Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, at the right time.
This comes amid the political crisis between Nyesom Wike and his successor, Fubara.
Wike made the statement during a press conference at his office in Abuja on Friday, November 24, 2023.
“You are the governor, but you must understand that people had sleepless nights to put you there.
“Don’t just throw them away like that. It’s too early, and I’ve never seen it happen anywhere.
“Some people pretend for about one or two years before they show their true colors. But Fubara is doing it in just three months.
“Nobody is supporting Governor Fubara, they’re only there because they think they’re fighting Wike.
“I will still win them. I will win Governor Fubara and his cohorts at the appropriate time.
“I’ve respected the President and the Vice President. I will not do anything for now, I’ll just keep quiet”, he said.
