Lagos State: A man identified as Godwin Emmanuel has been accused of impregnating his landlord 16yrs old daughter.
His landlord who is a Pastor said on Wednesday at Ikeja Sexual Offences and Domestic Violence Court that his daughter was defiled.
Emmanuel had been arraigned before the Court on a one-count charge of defilement to which he pleaded no guilty.
It was said that Emmanuel allegedly defiled the Pastor’s daughter between April & July 2021 at Ajangbadi area of Badagry.
Prosecution counsel said the offence contravened the Criminal Laws of Lagos State.
According to Igberetv, the State counsel, Ms Abimbola Abolade invited the Pastor to testify before the Court.
The 61 years old pastor stated that Godwin Emmanuel was his tenant, whom he knew through an estate agent.
The Pastor said his daughter confirmed Emmanuel to be responsible for her pregnancy after series of intercourse.
“Godwin defiled my daughter and impregnated her at the age of 16.
“I reported the case at Area K Police Lagos State in Badagry where my daughter confirmed that he had been sleeping with her for a long time.
“My daughter kept the pregnancy and gave birth to a female child”, the pastor narrated.
Speaking further, the pastor also testify how Godwin Emmanuel’s wife, a nurse, gave drugs to his daughter to remove the pregnancy.
The pastor told the Court that during one of their s*x romps, the condom broke, according to his daughter.
In conclusion, the Presiding Justice Abiola Soladoye adjourned the case to December 11.
