Omuma Money for Omuma People!: Gov. Fubara’s Ally Defends Empowerment Amid Critics’ Outcry

Yesterday, the leadership of the Simplified Movement in Omuma LGA under its CTC Chairman, Promise Reginald recently hosted the Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Victor Oko Jumbo, and his entourage. The event took place in Omuma, where the administration conducted a significant empowerment initiative.

During the event, various items were distributed to the people. These included cars, mini buses, motorcycles, money grants, sewing machines, hair dryers, smartphones, bicycles, and grinding machines, among others.

The Simplified Movement expressed gratitude to the Governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, for enabling this empowerment initiative. The motto “Omuma money for Omuma people!” was echoed throughout the event.

However after the empowerment program, there were outcries allegedly from Wike’s camp. It was alleged that there was a fowl play in the process of the empowerment. They claimed that “the CTC chairman only included his people in the program”.

To this effect, Promise Reginald responded to the critics via Facebook by saying their attempt to criticize the empowerment initiative backfired, making it viral instead. He credits divine involvement and vows to extend the next phase of empowerment to even his critics’ families, emphasizing they are also from Omuma.
