The Governor of Rivers State, Sim Fubara, has presented the 2024 budget to five lawmakers amid the rift with Nyesom Wike.
Sim Fubara presented the budget during a sitting under the speakership of Rt. Hon. Edison Ehie, around 9am.
Secretary to the State Government, Tammy Danagogo, and Commissioner for Finance, Isaac Kamalu, accompanied him.
Furthermore, Edison Ehie declared the seat of the 27 House members that defected to APC vacant.
It is alleged that the 27 lawmakers are loyal to former Governor Nyesom Wike.
This comes after the demolition of the State Assembly complex. Recall that the building was burnt by unidentified thugs.
The state has been rocked with political crisis after the plot to impeach the Governor was uncovered some weeks ago.
