What Andre Onana Said After He Saved A Penalty Kick Against FC Copenhagen

One of Manchester United’s heroes last night, Andre Onana has shared his view after a dramatic 1-0 win over FC Copenhagen.

United needed a victory in the Champions League group-stage match and took a deserved lead through Harry Maguire in the second half.

However, a contentious penalty was awarded to the visitors in added time. Jordan Larsson, Henrik’s son, took it.

Andre Onana parried the spot kick with a sensational dive to secure the dramatic moment for the Red Devils.

Reacting after the game, Onana told TNT Sports:

“I was just doing my job, being calm, not under pressure and making myself big, and making the save.

“It was an important victory for us – we had to win this game if we wanted to continue this competition.

“As Manchester United, we possess substantial ambition and face high expectations.

“United needed a victory in this game, and we can’t exit after just three games; we’re too prominent to do so. We must fight and put in hard work.”
