While speaking to pressmen in his office at Abuja on Thursday, November 2, 2023, the FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, sounded a note of warning to his successor, Siminalayi Fubara.
He said election may have come and gone, but he should remember that another election is coming four years from now.
Nyesom Wike made the remark while responding to the political crisis that recently erupted between him and Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara.
“We have built a political structure in Rivers State for long, since 2015. I saw hell, the federal government fought me left, right and centre, but we survived it.
“I’m not interested in the governance of Rivers State. I’m sitting in the FCT as a Minister. But I’m interested in the political structure of Rivers State which we have built for years. You can’t destroy the political structure that made you, who will allow it?
“At the appropriate time, we will know who produced the votes, we will know who controls the votes. Yes, election has finished, but another election is coming.
“Whether we run in an unknown party, we will win. What you know, you know, and what you don’t know, you don’t know”, Wike said.
